LUMS alumnus receives information systems lifetime achievement award

LUMS graduate Professor Bob Galliers has received the AIS LEO Award, the highest award for outstanding lifetime achievement given by the Association for Information Systems (AIS).

AIS is the premier global organisation for academics specialising in Information Systems (IS). The award recognizes truly outstanding individuals who have made both a local and global impact on the field of IS, and who have served as role models to colleagues and students.‌

Bob, who graduated from Lancaster in 1978 with an MA Systems in Management, has contributed extensively to the field of Information Systems for over 30 years, in various leadership positions and on three continents. Currently University Distinguished Professor at Bentley University, USA, Bob visited Lancaster in 2012 as a key speaker at the Systems Colloquium in honour of Professor Peter Checkland.
